If there's a period in the middle, it's an initial. If there's no period it's a particle name.

Yeah, I know there is no period in the particle name, but I didn't know if we should assume that only a period in the middle means that it's a initial. Like if someone puts John F Kennedy, will the F always have a . or should we assume that if only one letter or one letter followed by a period?
